Researchers at Stanford announced what many saw as a breakthrough in battery technology at April 6. It appears that there are several advantages of the aluminum-ion (Al-ion) battery over lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries, the current standard for laptops, smartphones and other rechargeable devices: 1.Safety.
